Inspiration From the Obvious and Not So Obvious!

Here is a beautiful example of Cheri Wenger's handiwork. For Nate's birthday, Cheri created this beautiful card, gift wrap and tag using Basic Black to accentuate the warm beiges of the paper, cardstock and ribbon. (You can see much more of Cheri's wonderful work by clicking on the "Live Life Creatively" link at the right and viewing her beautiful blog!)

Nate also received a bottle of wine in really cool bag that really coordinates with Cheri's colors. I love the textures of the shades of brown and the cool little silver ornament on black cord that is just the perfect accent.I've kept it simple for Nate's thank you notes since I need to make 25+ (13 are in the mail, a a like amount will be made today), so I used black CS and ivory confetti CS accented with silver embossing powder and silver cording. Just a little sponging created the masculine look needed for his thank you cards. I can't wait to get all frou-frou again!!!

Thank you, Amy!

Here is the design for the "Thank You" notes for Amy's SU workshop! We had a great time with Erin, Sydney, Kasie, Laura, Jennifer and Amy, our hostess, in attendance. We created cards and gift bags using Bashful Blue and Whisper White products. The card used the Upsy Daisy stamp set and we used Bashful Blue DSP with the scallop punches for the bag.

When Life Gives You Lemons!

Here's Riley at Aunt Deb's surprise birthday party! Riley is so much fun! (I guess that is obvious!) She just entered 2nd grade and passed the AR test for the second Harry Potter novel. (I know you understand that Grandmas must broadcast these things!!) :-)

I used the SU Designer Specialty Pack, "The Write Stuff". It comes with great die-cuts and great 2-sided papers in Ruby Red, Soft Suede, Crushed Curry and Old Olive!
